Dr. William Sugarmann has been in practice at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset since completing his general surgery residency at Morristown Memorial Hospital in 1997. As a general surgeon, he cares for patients with a wide variety of surgical conditions, both cancerous and noncancerous, and specializes in advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgeries. Dr. Sugarmann is committed to treating each patient with outstanding surgical care, as well as with kindness and compassion.
He is currently the Chairman of Surgery at RWJUH Somerset and is a past president of the Medical and Dental Staff. He is a member of the Advisory Board of Trustees of RWJUH Somerset, is a past president of the Somerset County Medical Society, and continues to serve on its Board. He has also served on the Board of Trustees of the Medical Society of New Jersey. He is an active member of both the Breast and Colorectal Multidisciplinary Teams at the Steeple Chase Cancer Center at RWJUH Somerset.
